Job SummaryProvide leadership, supervise, and prioritize development activities and staff for an application area. Design processes and metrics for functional area. Work closely with architects to ensure proper system design. Ensure highest quality implementations from design through QA to production. Assist multiple team members and other project leads in day‑to‑day activities related to project work. Perform forward‑thinking evaluation and research for new packages and releases.
MajorTasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
- Anticipate hardware and software design needs; review packages and products to determine viability as solutions and fit for other areas.
- Review technical design and specifications for business and functional requirements fit.
- Supervise team developing, implementing, and maintaining tools/applications; ensure team members are trained and cross‑trained in areas of expertise.
- Evaluate, research, and recommend upgrades, patches, and new functionality.
- Ensure root‑cause analysis, metrics, and control processes are employed for defect resolution.
- Lead development activities for a business application.
- Assign and plan resources for projects and RTS.
- Manage resource expenses and capitalized labor budget and actuals.
- Displays the highest level of critical thinking and analysis in bringing successful resolution to high‑impact, complex, and/or cross‑departmental problems.
- Operates with considerable latitude, making prompt, sound decisions in uncertain conditions.
- Develops innovative solutions to important, highly complex strategic and operating problems with cross‑departmental considerations.
- Located in a comfortable indoor area.
- Most time spent sitting with frequent opportunity to move; occasional light lifting.
- Generally requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (BS/BA) with 8+ years of experience in a related field, or Master’s degree (MS/MA) with 5+ years of experience.
- Certification required in some areas.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of backend development experience with .NET and C#.
- Proven experience with Azure iPaaS services (Service Bus, App Service Plans, Azure Monitor).
- Strong understanding of IPaaS integration patterns, event‑driven architecture, microservice development, and cloud‑native design.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and agile methodologies.
- Experience with microservices architecture, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and Azure Dev Ops.
- Familiarity with SQL and No
SQL databases in Azure. - Knowledge of cost optimization and observability best practices.
- Microsoft certifications such as Azure Developer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect (preferred).
- Excellent communication, leadership, adaptability, mentoring, and problem‑solving skills.
- Hands‑on experience with Bicep, Terraform for Azure resource provisioning and automation.
- Develop and deliver enterprise integrations leveraging the Azure IPaaS stack, integrating with Oracle EBS and multiple SaaS applications.
- Establish and lead standards for API development; develop and provide API templates.
- Help establish an API Developer Portal to promote publication and reuse of APIs.
- Help establish KPIs around uptime, performance, error rate, usage, etc. of APIs.
- Lead design and development of middleware components using .NET Core, C#, and Azure Functions.
- Leverage Azure API Management for authentication, throttling, and governance of APIs.
- Collaborate with enterprise architects, Dev Ops, product teams, business analysts, QA, and end users.
- Utilize CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable deployments.
- Ensure high availability and geo‑redundancy of middleware services across multiple Azure regions.
