Associate Systems Administrator at Victory Church
PURPOSE This role partners with the Lead Systems Admin to implement core Rock RMS functionality as practical solutions to ministry needs. The Associate CHMS Developer will focus on building workflows, reports, and data views, while also assisting with third‑party integrations. This role requires learning and applying SQL, Lava, and other technical skills to create scalable, ministry‑focused solutions that advance the mission of Victory Church.
Responsibilities- Workflow & Automation Support:
Implement and test Rock RMS core features such as groups, check‑in, connection opportunities, event registration, and communication tools as solutions to ministry needs. - Build, implement and maintain Rock RMS workflows, data views, and automations as assigned by the Lead Systems Admin.
- Data Integrity & Management:
Perform routine data cleanup tasks including deduplication, record merging, and error correction; assist with import processes and maintain data quality standards. - Staff and Support & Training:
Serve as first point of contact for Rock‑related technical issues; assist with identifying, mentoring, and training ministry champions ("Rock Stars"); document technical solutions for internal use; partner with CHMS coordinator to ensure ministry‑facing documentation and training aligns with technical builds. - System Maintenance:
Manage group structures, attributes, communication tools, and page content; assist with configuration of email templates, check‑ins, and event registrations. - Reporting & Insights:
Collaborate with BI to implement data views, reports, and dashboards that support ministry efforts and leadership decision‑making. - Testing & QA:
Test and validate workflows, custom blocks, and new features before deployment; report bugs and inconsistencies to the Lead Systems Admin and follow through on resolutions. - Operations:
Additional responsibilities as directed by supervisor and as needed for continued development of Victory Church.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn SQL and Lava.
- Ability to translate ministry needs into systemic functionality.
- Knowledge of systems used by Victory Church to manage volunteers and report data.
- Comfortable troubleshooting technical challenges.
- Time management and prioritization skills.
- A culture of innovation, stewardship, and support.
- Patience, spiritual & emotional maturity, teamwork, and communication.
- Technical support and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Mac.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with Rock RMS or similar CHMS platforms preferred.
- Working knowledge of SQL and Lava (or willingness to learn).
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with non‑technical staff.
- Heart for local church and passion for enabling ministry through technology.
- Proficiency in Mac and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Understanding of database management.
- Acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; understanding of Victory Church’s mission and values; agreement to staff commitments and CHECK values.
