Maintenance Manager – Transdev North America – Norcross, GA
Oversee the daily operations of mechanics, bus washers, utility workers and administrative staff, ensuring maintenance on equipment meets DOT, client and company standards across a three‑shift facility.
Key Responsibilities- Hire, train and schedule Maintenance Technicians
- Approve priority of maintenance and repairs based on material availability and operational requirements
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside vendors
- Ensure company and client equipment is maintained and operating efficiently
- Manage inventory
- Implement safety policies and procedures per corporate requirements
- Participate in the development and administration of the operational budget
- Identify opportunities for improving service delivery methods
- Other duties as required
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Valid CDL Class B (or higher) with passenger and airbrake endorsements preferred
- 7+ years’ experience in repair and maintenance of heavy‑duty automotive and transit equipment
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Broad understanding of all mechanical systems related to heavy‑duty transportation vehicles
- Familiarity with laws & regulations associated with safe operation of maintenance facilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Availability to work shifts and flexible work schedules as needed
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs such as cannabis
- Competitive compensation: $90,000 – $111,000
- Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
- Sick days: 5 days
- Holidays: 12 days (8 standard, 4 floating)
