Crusher Mechanic;

Overview

Crusher Mechanic (5pm-2am) – 250002PE. Vulcan Materials Company is a leader in construction aggregates and related materials. We value safety, collaboration, and career development across the organization.

• Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Repair and Maintain Crusher. Primary responsibilities include the assembly, disassembly, overhaul, repair and adjustment of crushing and processing equipment. Some welding experience is preferred.
• Inspect Equipment and Structures. Perform daily inspections and maintenance to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations to maximize production and minimize interruptions.
• Monitor Processes and Materials. Monitor and review the plant, including aggregate crushing, washing, and screening areas to identify problems and ensure safety and materials compliance.
• Document and Record Information. Enter and maintain service and lubrication reports regarding plant equipment to ensure preventative maintenance is up to date.
• Perform General Physical Activities. Assist with plant operation, including cleaning, washing, sweeping, and shoveling materials.
• Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

• Experience. Previous experience in the aggregate or construction industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of general principles and practices of industrial crusher maintenance, construction, or aggregate production is preferred.
• Flexibility. Able to work overtime and extended hours as needed; able to work outside in all weather conditions and tolerate loud noise.
• Mechanical Skills. Some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
