OverviewJob Summary
Entry-level scientist responsible for performing laboratory experiments and scientific activities supporting the development, optimization, characterization, and support of immunohematology reagents and in‑vitro diagnostic assays.
Works under established procedures and with guidance from more experienced scientists to execute experiments, collect, analyze and interpret data, maintain accurate scientific documentation, and contribute to project objectives. Develops foundational technical expertise in immunohematology, reagent development, assay development, experimental design, and scientific problem solving.
ResponsibilitiesKey Accountabilities
- Performs laboratory experiments and scientific activities in support of immunohematology reagent and assay development using established methods, procedures, and fundamental scientific principles.
- Supports development and optimization of immunohematology reagents and assays under the direction of experienced scientists.
- Performs routine laboratory testing and experimental activities involving immunohematology and immunoassay methods.
- Prepares reagents, samples, and experimental materials in accordance with established procedures.
- Collects, records, organizes, and maintains accurate experimental data, laboratory notebooks, technical documentation, and study records.
- Performs basic analysis and interpretation of experimental results and communicates observations to project team members.
- Assists with troubleshooting of routine laboratory and technical problems and escalates unexpected or complex issues appropriately.
- Supports reagent characterization, assay optimization, stability studies, performance evaluations and verification/validation activities for product development and lifecycle support.
- Follows established quality systems, laboratory procedures, safety requirements and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrates increasing independence in laboratory execution, experimental planning, data interpretation, and technical problem solving while performing other assigned responsibilities.
- Participates in cross-functional activities, effectively communicates technical information, and develops knowledge of relevant scientific literature, technologies, and competitive products.

- Works closely with R&D scientists and other laboratory personnel to execute development activities.
