Overview

Retail Store Management Trainee to join our Team. This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in fast-tracking into a Store Management position. Minimum of 1 year retail management experience required. Pay rate: $18.50 to $25.00 per hour. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $6.39 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for day-to-day store operations and promoting a positive/productive environment. This role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage Customer Relations and Customer Satisfaction. This position sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.

This role analyzes store financial statements with the Store Manager to ensure financial goals are met. You will commit to the company's asset protection program, promote the business, and target new customer acquisitions. Employees work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance.

Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
  • Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
  • Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
  • Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and ensure procedures protect assets.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control and documentation of loans.
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store systems, and reporting.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
  • Communicate clearly with employees to align with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
  • Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) in accordance with laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
