Fire/Life Safety Solutions Senior Sales Executive
Join Siemens in leading the development and implementation of solutions for protect people and assets in the built environment. This role focuses on the commercial Smart Buildings Total Fire Alarm & Life Safety Solutions team, driving new business and driving partnerships with contractors, architects, consultants, developers and end‑users.
Responsibilities- Understand market, competitors, customers and decision influencers across the region, stay updated on automation, electrical, fire, mechanical, IoT trends.
- Develop a hunter and account management plan for strategic vertical growth, create go‑to‑market strategies for end‑user customers.
- Maintain a qualified funnel of opportunities, achieve booking and profit goals consistently.
- Collaborate with operations and internal teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes and partner with other sales divisions for new projects.
- Attend industry networking events and professional organizations (NFPA, NFSA, ASHE, NBFAA, AFAA, IFMA, SAME, 7x24, etc.) to build contacts and represent Siemens.
- Influence new construction specifications via relationships with consulting engineers and architects.
- Work across multiple levels of the customer’s organization to understand business goals and metrics.
- Perform site surveys supporting multi‑offering estimates and proposals.
- Develop value‑based proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations; coordinate with finance, legal, and outside resources to secure the sale.
- Ensure smooth sales‑to‑operations turnover and follow‑through to validate completion and maintain relationships.
- Develop strong organizational, presentation, negotiation skills; participate in sales department meetings, workshops, and seminars.
- Travel overnight up to 10% for training and business development.
Basic Qualification
- High School Diploma or state‑recognized GED.
- 3+ years of end‑to‑end sales, business development, or consulting experience in commercial fire alarm/life safety or related building construction industries.
- NICET Level I or II Fire Alarm Certification or ability to complete certification within 2 years.
- Hands‑on experience with fire and life safety systems, equipment and building codes (IFC, IBC, NFPA, etc.).
- Hunter + business development mindset.
- Financial expertise in estimating and selling technical solutions and service product lines independently and account development skills.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- 21‑year‑old with valid driver’s license of limited violations.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
- Experience selling to electrical and general contractors; performing fire alarm design services with electrical/fire protection engineers.
- Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
