The Grounds Guys of Atlanta & Alpharetta serve both commercial and residential clients, offering full‑service lawn care and high‑end landscape design/installation. Their service list includes hardscape design & installation, landscape design & build, sod/gravel installation, seasonal displays, lighting & irrigation, and more. Given the high‑end focus (residential + commercial) and design/build capability, this role needs to sell projects and design them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new business in commercial and upscale residential markets.
  • Conduct on‑site consultations with clients to understand their vision, budget, and timeline.
  • Prepare and deliver professional landscape design proposals.
  • Develop conceptual and technical landscape designs using CAD, Sketch Up, or hand sketches.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are buildable and profitable.
  • Negotiate and close high‑value contracts ($20K–$200K+).
  • Maintain CRM pipeline and achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and community functions.
  • Stay informed on landscape design trends and materials.
Required Qualifications / Skills
  • 3–5 years of experience in landscape design/sales (design‑build preferred).
  • Strong design skills with proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Sketch Up, etc.).
  • Knowledge of horticulture, hardscapes, and outdoor living features.
  • Proven record of closing high‑ticket projects.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable in a commission‑based role.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the Atlanta metro area.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Portfolio of completed high‑end residential/commercial projects.
  • Experience with CRM or project estimating software.
  • Background in landscape architecture, design, or horticulture.
  • Experience in franchised or growth‑oriented environments.

5. Payment Schedule

Commissions are paid biweekly or monthly, based on client payments received.

Commissions are only paid on cleared client payments (no pending or partial payments).

6. Performance Review

Sales performance will be reviewed at the end of each month.

Reps consistently missing quota (for 2 consecutive months) may be placed on performance review or reassignment.

Top‑performing reps may qualify for higher‑tier incentives or leadership roles.

7. Terms & Conditions
  • The company reserves the right to modify commission rates or quotas with a 30‑day written notice.
  • Only direct sales initiated and closed by the sales representative are eligible for commission.
  • All client transactions must be properly documented in the CRM or sales tracking system.
