Shift: Days, 06:30 AM - 18:00 PM & 14:00 PM - 23:30 PM

Work Experience:

• Performs Computed Tomography procedures to assist in a diagnosis of disease and injuries.
• The CT Technologist works effectively with patients and patients' families and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel.
• Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the Diagnostic Imaging department as defined in the scope of practice, to assure that the unique nature of the patient is addressed.
• This includes but is not limited to the age of the patient served.
• Positions patient and/or equipment to efficiently obtain high quality images.
• Select proper scanning procedure for each CT according to radiologist protocols.
• Perform proper views for each exam according to department protocol.
• Under direction of a physician, administer appropriate contrast agents according to department protocol and maintain current knowledge of these agents and their indications/contraindications.
• Ensure appropriate consent forms are signed by the patient or responsible party for contrast procedures.
• Assist physician/students/technologists with CT procedures.
• Coordinate procedures with appropriate departments and personnel as needed.
• Maintain technical skills relating to imaging factors.
• Maintain knowledge of anatomy and pathology in order to produce high quality images.
