Basic Job Functions

This role is part of our Maintenance Department and includes providing technical support for maintenance and operations. Key responsibilities are:

  • Maintain and improve mill-wide automation, including PLCs, HMIs, Level 2 systems, drives, and industrial robots.
  • Install, configure, and maintain field devices, instrumentation systems, communication networks, and interfaces.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures and conduct training for operation and maintenance teams.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate closely with operations.
  • Work scheduled and occasional unscheduled overtime as required.
  • Earn safety leadership by initiating, leading, and upholding safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Two year degree in a related field or 3 years of equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the melting process and related equipment.
  • Proficiency in PLC, HMI, and drive software.
  • Strong PLC, HMI, drives, networking, and computer troubleshooting skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering principles.
  • Experience with industrial robots, controllers, and programming.
