Shop Technician Do you enjoy hands-on mechanical work and have a talent for troubleshooting and repairing equipment? Essential Personnel is looking for a skilled Shop Technician to join a busy pull-behind trailer repair team! If you take pride in quality workmanship and keeping equipment safe, reliable, and road-ready, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Candidates must have their own tools and  this role, you'll work on a variety of trailer systems, including electrical, braking, suspension, and structural components. From preventative maintenance and accident repairs to welding and flooring replacement, your skills will help keep trailers operating safely and meeting DOT standards.

Requirements for Shop Technician:

Proficiency with hand and power tools.

Experience using diagnostic equipment.

Knowledge of carpentry and welding.

Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Ability to maintain accurate service records.

Must provide your own tools and toolbox.

Responsibilities for Shop Technician:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair various trailer systems.

Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections.

Repair trailer damage caused by accidents.

Complete welding and flooring replacement projects.

Repair electrical, braking, suspension, and structural components.

Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and DOT requirements.

Properly and safely operate hand and power tools.

Maintain accurate records of repairs and services.

Work with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe.
