We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee the Civils aspects of a major Transmission and Distribution (T&D) project based in Norfolk. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team working on critical infrastructure in the energy sector. The role offers an immediate start with a competitive freelance rate.

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage and oversee the daily operations of the site, ensuring the smooth delivery of civils works related to T&D projects.

· Ensure the project is completed to the highest standards, within budget and on time.

· Lead and supervise site teams, including subcontractors, and ensure effective communication and coordination.

· Oversee health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance across all works.

· Monitor progress and report to senior project management, highlighting any issues or delays.

· Ensure that site records and documentation are up-to-date and accurate.

· Manage stakeholder relationships, including liaising with local authorities and other contractors.

· Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality specifications.
Requirements:

· Proven experience as a Site Manager on civils projects, ideally within the Transmission & Distribution or similar infrastructure sectors.

· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams effectively.

· In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and the ability to ensure a safe working environment.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Relevant qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid).

· Ability to start immediately and commit to a freelance contract for 6-12 months.

· A proactive approach with a strong problem-solving mindset.
Desirable:

· Experience with T&D infrastructure or similar high-value civils projects.

· Previous work experience in Norfolk or East Anglia region is beneficial.
