Associate Flood Risk Consultant

Associate Flood Risk Consultant Leeds Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 An established environmental consultancy is looking for an Associate Flood Risk Consultant to join its team in Leeds. This is a great opportunity for an experienced flood risk professional to take on a senior role, lead projects and help develop client relationships, while supporting the growth of the wider team.

The Role You will work across a varied portfolio of flood risk and drainage projects, supporting clients through planning and development. Responsibilities will include:
Managing and delivering Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies. Overseeing surface water modelling, flood risk modelling and drainage design. Providing technical advice on flood risk, SuDS and planning requirements. Managing project budgets, programmes and client relationships. Liaising with the Environment Agency, local authorities, developers and other stakeholders. Reviewing technical reports and providing guidance to junior team members. Supporting business development, preparing fee proposals and identifying new opportunities.

Helping develop the team and contributing to its continued growth. About You Strong experience in flood risk consultancy, ideally at Senior or Associate level. A solid background in Flood Risk Assessments, drainage strategies and planning.

Experience with hydraulic modelling software and GIS. Good knowledge of UK flood risk policy and relevant guidance. Confident managing projects and building client relationships. Experience mentoring junior colleagues and supporting business development. The Opportunity
