We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established automotive dealership in Norwich, Norfolk, for the position of Dealership Assistant Accountant.

The Dealership Assistant Accountant will play a vital part in maintaining precise financial records, supporting compliance, and ensuring the smooth operational flow of the dealership’s finance functions.

Duties of the Dealership Assistant Accountant:
Manage accurate and timely processing of financial transactions
Prepare and review routine month-end reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Reconcile and review general ledger and sub-ledger balance sheet accounts
Maintain compliance with internal control frameworks and support audit processes
Take ownership of franchise-specific accounts, including bonus debtors and vehicle funding
Ensure accuracy and integrity of franchise profit and loss statements
Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to customer, supplier, or internal accounts
Support continuous improvements in financial processing procedures
Contribute to maintaining high standards of financial reporting and compliance within the dealership
Requirements:
Part-qualified accountant (AAT, CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or equivalent experience
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
High attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development in automotive finance
