Position: Private Rent Sector Enforcement Officer
Location: Cromer

About The Role

Due to the wider remit of the Council's Housing work under the Renters Rights Act, we have a fantastic Private Rent Sector Enforcement Officer role available.

We would love to have a candidate who wants to make a positive difference to the Private Rented and Social Housing Sectors, and the lives and well‑being of tenants within North Norfolk.

This post is a fixed term contract to 31st March 2028, though it is hoped to extend the contract, subject to securing funding.

About You

You will have substantial experience in regulatory or housing enforcement, good interpersonal, communication and customer care skills, and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. The ability to work well as part of a team as well as on your own is crucial.

This is a demanding role, so you will need to be well‑organised and able to work flexibly.

You will have a degree level education or equivalent professional experience, together with relevant wider experience and training.

A full driving licence and daily access to a vehicle is essential, and therefore the role attracts an essential car user allowance.
