Responsibilities

Senior Care Assistant – Your focus will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, creating a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

  • Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, identify changes affecting care and care plans, ensure new needs are met, and amend written records accordingly.
  • Be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Support residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertake staff supervisions and support staff with their development as required.
  • Act as a key contact for residents, relatives and visitors, and for health and social care professionals; respond to reasonable requests and escalate concerns or complaints as needed.
About You / Qualifications

  • Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
  • Have 2 years of experience in a similar care environment.
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
  • Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
