Dispenser (NVQ Level
2)

Medical Centre – King’s Lynn, PE32 1DW

37 Hours per Week | 8-5.30pm working either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday | Permanent

£13.77 per hour

We are looking for a motivated and professional Dispenser (NVQ Level
2) to join our friendly and supportive team at our Medical Centre in King’s Lynn. Working under the supervision of the Dispensary Lead, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring patients receive their prescribed medication safely and efficiently, while supporting our wider clinical team to deliver exceptional care.

The Role

You will:

* Accurately and safely dispense prescribed medication in line with legal and professional guidelines

* Respond to medication queries from patients with confidence and empathy

* Support the Dispensary Lead in maintaining a high-performing dispensary service

* Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to meet the organisation’s strategic objectives

* Maintain precise clinical records and uphold safeguarding responsibilities

* Deliver excellent service both face-to-face and over the telephone

Essential Skills & Experience

* NVQ Level 2 Qualified Dispenser

* GCSE (or equivalent) English and Maths at Grade C (4) or above

* Previous dispensary experience

* Experience working with patients and the general public

* Excellent communication skills (telephone, email, and face-to-face)

* Strong organisational and time management skills

* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

* Understanding of safeguarding for adults and children

* Ability to follow legal, ethical, and professional procedures

* Accurate clinical record-keeping skills

* Calm under pressure with emotional resilience

* Empathetic, sensitive, and respectful of diversity

* Clear, polite telephone manner

* Commitment to ongoing professional development
