Adults Social Worker needed for our Locality Mental Health Team in Norfolk, paying £43.38 ph! Hybrid Working!

• Rate: £43.38 ph

Norfolk is seeking an experienced Adults Social Worker to join the Norwich Locality Mental Health Social Care Team.

The team works with adults aged 18–65 with mental health needs, including individuals with chronic mental health conditions and dual diagnoses. Many of our service users are vulnerable adults within the meaning of the Equality Act 2010. Our work balances safeguarding responsibilities with promoting autonomy, independence, and rights in line with best practice guidance.

The team undertakes statutory duties under the Care Act 2014, including assessments, reviews, safeguarding enquiries (Section 42), and care planning.

• Complete Care Act assessments and reviews
• Undertake and manage Section 42
• Safeguarding Enquiries Implement and review care and support packages
• Conduct Mental Capacity Assessments (MCA) and Best Interests Assessments/Meetings under the Mental Capacity Act 2005
• Prepare Social Circumstances Reports (SCRs)

Attend and contribute to:

• Work jointly with health partners regarding Section 117 aftercare under the Mental Health Act 1983
• Support adults subject to Community Treatment Orders (CTOs)

• Qualified Social Worker Current registration with Social Work England
• Proven experience within Adult Social Care, ideally within Mental Health
• Demonstrable experience managing Section 42 enquiries
• Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and statutory guidance
