HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy, and Aerospace sectors, connecting skilled professionals with leading UK and international employers.

We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead the Health, Safety & Environmental function across UK and international sites within a production/manufacturing environment (marine experience desirable).

You will act as the senior HSE lead, advising the Senior Management Team, ensuring full legislative compliance, and driving a positive safety culture across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities of the HSE Manager:

• Lead and develop the HSE team

• Implement and manage company-wide HSE strategy

• Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation (including RIDDOR)

• Maintain ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 aligned management systems

• Oversee audits, risk register, incident investigations and corrective actions

• Develop and deliver HSE training plans

• Manage HSE budget, reporting and third-party suppliers

• Advise leadership on regulatory and compliance matters

Essential Requirements of the HSE Manager:

• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)

• IOSH or recognised HSE qualification

• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation

• Experience in manufacturing/production environments

• Proven experience leading HSE teams

• Audit, training and compliance management experience

• Strong communication and organisational skills
