This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is passionate about precision irrigation, plant performance, and team development—someone who enjoys turning data, observation, and best practice into outstanding crop outcomes.

About the Role

The Irrigation Manager is responsible for delivering crop irrigation and fertigation programs that maximise yield and quality. Working closely with the Operations Manager, the role leads the irrigation team and ensures all systems, infrastructure, and water budgets are operating at best-practice standard.

The position plays a key role in crop decision-making, climate and tunnel management, data collection, and continuous improvement across production systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute irrigation programs aligned with crop demand and best practice

* Manage fertigation, fertiliser, and chemical injection programs

* Oversee and maintain irrigation infrastructure and systems

* Monitor crop water use, EC, fertiliser inputs, and plant health

* Lead, train, and develop the irrigation team

* Support climate and tunnel management decisions with the wider technical team

* Contribute to propagation planning and plant quality outcomes

* Ensure all irrigation operations meet safety and compliance standards

* Assist with technical planning for new crops, systems, and opportunities

* Provide data and insights to support weekly technical meetings and business planning

About You

* Strong experience in irrigation and fertigation within horticulture or intensive agriculture

* Proven ability to lead and develop teams

* High attention to detail with strong data and record-keeping skills

* Comfortable working across technical, operational, and strategic priorities

* Proactive, safety-focused, and improvement-driven

Why Apply?

* Permanent full-time role in a technically progressive business

* Opportunity to influence crop performance and production strategy

* Leadership role with real impact on yield, quality, and team capability

* Collaborative technical environment with room to grow and innovate
