About the Opportunity We’re supporting a well‑established manufacturing business in North Norfolk that is seeking an experienced Interim Operations Manager to provide leadership and stability during a period of transition. The organisation is known for its high quality, strong customer base, and a commitment to continuous improvement, and they are looking for someone who can quickly add value and ensure operational efficiency.
This is a hands-on, fast-moving role ideal for someone who thrives in busy production environments and enjoys rolling up their sleeves to drive change.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations across the manufacturing site, ensuring production targets, quality standards and on-time delivery metrics are met
Provide clear leadership to production teams, including supervisors and shift leaders
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste
Maintain a strong focus on health & safety, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards
Oversee workflow planning, resource management, and performance monitoring
Support the senior leadership team with operational insights and data-driven recommendations
Stabilise operations during a period of organisational change, ensuring continuity and strong communication
About You
Proven experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment
Comfortable stepping into an interim role and making an immediate impact
Strong leadership style with the ability to motivate and influence teams
Excellent understanding of lean methodologies and continuous improvement
A pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
Able to quickly assess operational challenges and drive practical, sustainable improvements
Confident communicator across all levels, from shop floor to senior stakeholders
