We have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to maintain open spaces / green infrastructure of all Saffron managed areas to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Maintain all grassed areas, hedges, and shrub beds to the recognised standard using powered hand tools and ride-on mowers.
Undertake plant protection product application, garden clearances, watercourse management and equipment maintenance as required.
Liaise with the Senior Grounds Maintenance Operative to ensure work schedules are up to date and adjusted accordingly.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Educations and
Qualifications:
A recognised Horticultural qualification level 2 or 3 (City and Guilds) or equivalent.
Holds a Front Loader qualification and NPTC Units NPTC PA1 + PA6, would advantageous.
Full, current, valid driving licence with B + E Trailer entitlement or equivalent.
Experience:
Relevant experience and knowledge in all types of grounds maintenance (green space) work.
Relevant experience of working with powered hand tools (Brush cutters, hedge cutters, blowers) and ride-on mowers
Experience of working in extreme temperatures and conditions due to seasonal weather conditions.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Able to work as part of a team and also able to work independently without the need for close supervision.
Excellent time management skills, including an ability to prioritise workload and meet agreed deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possessing the ability to liaise with various audiences.
Ability to use a mobile device (mobile phone/tablet) to manage workload, send and receive emails, access apps and MS Teams for meetings / training.

Working Hours - 37 hours per week (Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 15.00pm, Friday 7.00am to 14.00pm)
