Senior Retail Customer Assistant - Weekends at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, Colney Lane, Norwich, NR4 7UY
. Role with Royal Voluntary Service
. Part-time, permanent. Salary: £12.68 per hour (FTE £23,091 per annum).

Royal Voluntary Service hospital cafes, shops and trolleys are part of the NHS; we provide beverages and healthy food choices. The money spent helps fund volunteer action in hospitals and the community. You will work with a friendly team of employees and volunteers to support the day-to-day management of the busy retail Shop at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital.

• Provide friendly, helpful and efficient service at all times
• Welcome customers, inform them about specials or new products, answer questions and process orders and payments
• Operate the till and cash up
• Maintain cleanliness in line with Health and Safety and food hygiene standards; keep areas tidy
• Replenish stock and displays; order supplies if required
• Engage with volunteers, lead by example, and maintain a positive, motivated attitude
• Supervise the site and team in the absence of the Retail Service Manager; support KPI achievement; direct, train and develop the team

• 16 hours per week
• Weekend-only position; available to work Saturday and Sunday between 09:00 and 19:00
• Example shifts include 09:30 – 18:30

• Experience in a retail or cafe environment with people management
• Knowledge of EPOS systems advantageous
• Knowledge of general administrative processes
• Knowledge of Food Safety & Health & Safety procedures advantageous (full training provided)
• Excellent communication skills
• Organising, delegating and prioritising abilities
• Calm, professional in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to deliver excellent customer service
• Experience with email and internet required
• Willingness to work as part of a team and independently as needed
• Flexible to business needs and available for out-of-hours training if required

• Salary of £12.68 per hour (FTE £23,091 per annum)
