Retail & Store Manager, Customer Service Rep
Location: Heacham
Availability Window
Sun 14:15 – 23:00,05:45 – 14:15, Sat 14:15 – 23:00. We schedule your contracted hours within these times and provide a 3‑week notice of your shifts.
Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour; this increases to £15.97 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but you can also work fewer hours (minimum 12). We are happy to support flexibility if your availability matches closely with the advertised times.

You'll face interesting challenges as you oversee the store and strive to make things better for customers, colleagues and communities each day.
Responsibilities- Work in a fast‑paced retail environment, with a variety of products.
- Take ownership of running duty shifts and coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
- Be there for customers, listen to them and help them leave with what they came for.
- Look for ways to improve service, including coaching colleagues and giving feedback.
- Guide and support colleagues in‑store, ensuring a safe place to work and shop.
- Maintain a great understanding of store performance and assist managers in delivering actions that improve operations.
- Lead from the front and set a great example for colleagues.
- Coordinating the store team to deliver an easy, fuss‑free shopping experience.
- Supporting colleagues, ensuring they deliver daily priorities and take regular breaks.
- Opening and closing the store, completing duty cover, ensuring all decisions are safe for everyone.
- Being the go‑to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager for day‑to‑day queries.
- Keeping the store clean, tidy, and well‑presented.
- Supporting managers to coordinate seasonal, community and charity events.
- Contributing to a great team atmosphere, inclusive of everyone.
- Providing great customer service by listening to customers and putting them first.
- Keeping the team well‑informed and up to speed on communications, changes or updates.
- Staying knowledgeable about store performance and looking for ways to improve and simplify operations.
- Coordinating store improvements and removing obstacles to great service.
- Following health and safety routines and procedures, ensuring colleagues do the same.
- Recognising and celebrating colleagues providing great service.
- Being a great role model, always giving thoughtful customer service that ensures every customer's needs are met.
- Building strong, long‑lasting relationships with colleagues to create a positive, inclusive team atmosphere.
- Being a clear communicator, using a variety of methods to keep the team well‑informed.
- Being comfortable taking the lead and overseeing the store in the absence of the Manager.
- Being a good decision maker, flexible, and comfortable handling change to ensure everything we do is right for customers and colleagues.
- Being motivating, inspiring the team to deliver beyond expectations.
- Being curious, always looking for ideas to serve customers, community and planet better each day.
- At least 18 years old; to work before 6:15 am or after 9:45 pm, or in warehouses, beer, wine & spirits, counters, bakery or driving roles, must be over 18.
- Ability to work flexible hours within the availability window.
- Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills.
- Leadership experience or strong ability to motivate and coach a team.
- Good organisational and time‑management skills.
- Basic math and cash handling skills.
- Positive attitude toward teamwork and community focus.
