Female Support Worker – South Norfolk

Salary: £27,234.89 per annum

Hours:

38 hours per week

Shift Pattern:
Monday – Friday between 9am – 5pm (No weekends). Plus rostered on-call

Posts restricted to females only. Schedule 9 (part
1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies

Due to the remote location of the service, a full driving licence is essential.

Working across dispersed safe accommodation and community-based services, you will provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and strengths-based support that empowers people to achieve their goals, increase their independence, and create safer futures.

  • Take a person-centred approach, working collaboratively with customers to develop support plans that reflect their individual strengths, goals, and aspirations.
  • Be confident in identifying and managing risk, while promoting informed choice and independence.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with customers, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Understand the importance of safeguarding and working collaboratively to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those you support.
  • Recognise and value lived experience, advocating effectively for customers and ensuring their voices are heard.
What You'll Do
  • Work alongside customers to develop personalised safety and support plans that focus on strengths, recovery, independence, and long-term wellbeing.
  • Provide practical and emotional support, helping individuals and families make informed decisions and build confidence in achieving their goals.
  • Carry out risk assessments, safety planning, referrals, and safeguarding activities in line with legislation, best practice, and organisational policies.
  • Collaborate with partner agencies and professionals to deliver coordinated, holistic support tailored to individual needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within local communities, creating opportunities that enhance customer outcomes and strengthen support networks.
  • Empower customers to access education, training, volunteering, employment, and community resources that promote independence and social inclusion.
  • Act as a compassionate advocate, listening to customers' experiences and ensuring they are supported to make choices that are right for them.
