Accountant, Financial Reporting, Accounting Manager

The Accountant is responsible for managing daily accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. This role ensures compliance with accounting standards and company policies while assisting with audits, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

This role is fully onsite in Norfolk VA

Salary: $70-80,000/year

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including journal entries and account analysis.
• Prepare and post monthly accruals, adjustments, and reclassifications.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
• Support payroll entries, expense reports, and other related accounting functions.
• Prepare financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements for management review.
• Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation.
