Administrative Assistant for the Real Estate Foundation

Position Summary:

To provide greater efficiency and effectiveness in the general operations of the TCC Real Estate Foundation and Finance. To process gifts of property to the college and manage properties to provide the highest and best possible return for the college. To support TCC programs and students through the renovation of existing facilities and construction of new facilities.

Functional Responsibilities
  • Manage the office of the TCC Real Estate Foundation and its general operations.
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, coordinating attendance, preparing minutes, and ensuring recordkeeping.
  • Liaise with Board members, set meetings, take minutes, produce board packets and presentations for the Director.
  • Coordinate procurement activities for the Financial Services area and serve as liaison to other TCC departments.
Special Assignments

May be required to perform other duties as assigned and assist the agency or state government in emergencies.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to draft documents, reports, agendas, and minutes, and distribute them in a timely manner.
  • Experience with online meeting software (Zoom, Teams).
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with Board members and maintain working relationships with administrators, staff, and the public.
  • Ability to prioritize work, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines with little or no supervision.
  • Experience in a fast‑paced, executive environment.
Additional Considerations
  • Experience with public‑facing communication.
  • Experience providing administrative support in an executive environment.
  • Experience in a State/Government Agency or educational institution.
  • Valid Virginia driver’s license; ability to operate a state vehicle and drive locally to TCC campuses.
