Position OverviewTrimitron Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented and highly capable Administrative Assistant II to provide comprehensive administrative support to departmental leadership and to the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific’s Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Division. This role serves as the primary administrative support professional for the department, ensuring smooth coordination of administrative processes, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting mission‑critical PNT activities.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical writing skills, experience supporting DoD or Federal stakeholders, and the ability to operate independently in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Critically review, independently edit, format, and synthesize various types of input—including verbal notes, emails, drafts, and technical content—into cohesive, professional documents aligned with DoD/Federal standards.
- Prepare and refine correspondence for senior stakeholders, including Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Customer Technical Representatives (COTRs).
- Manage, update, and distribute departmental documents such as organizational announcements, distribution lists, internal/external media lists, and data access forms.
- Coordinate administrative processes, schedules, and project‑related activities for the department or assigned supervisors.
- Serve as the primary administrative support resource, overseeing several ongoing and complex processes unique to the department.
- Assign and/or monitor the work of a second full‑time administrative support staff member, student workers, or Graduate Assistants as needed.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.
- Demonstrated ability to independently edit, format, and synthesize information into clear, accurate, and compliant documents.
- Three (3) to six (6) years of directly applicable administrative experience.
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- An advanced degree may substitute for two years of experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and support departmental leadership with professionalism and accuracy.
- Experience working in a military or DoD environment, including familiarity with technical documents such as point papers, policies, and official messages.
- Experience independently tracking supply orders, equipment inventories, cost accounting data, and personnel training records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce polished, professional documentation.
- Experience supporting technical or research‑based programs, especially within Navy or NIWC environments.
