Responsibilities- Provide support to the Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations Division both on the east and west coasts.
- Participate in boat operations, maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
- Shipboard support, including knowledge of launching and recovery of small boats.
- Perform duties with minimal supervision.
- Work as part of an established Marine Operations division that supports multiple other systems on a variety of projects nationwide.
- Be trained to participate in functions beyond normal operations.
- Travel 40–50% of the year, from one to six weeks at a time.
- Possess a valid state driver’s license;
Commercial Driver License is a plus. - Physically capable of transferring between vessels at sea.
- Have good oral and written communication skills.
- Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Minimum general mechanical and boat operations experience, including:
- 3 years of technical experience (Tech II).
- General knowledge of boat operations, mechanical and electrical operating systems.
- Experience driving pickup trucks with trailers on roads and in enclosed or limited spaces.
- Ability to work varying hours, including nights and pre‑dawn hours.
- Be able to obtain a passport if required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Trade school training is a plus.
- Professional certifications/licenses are a plus.
- Currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain the proper US DoD issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
- Employment and start date contingent upon receiving the required interim security clearance.
The working conditions vary from desk work, data entry, reports, and work orders in a database to shop work in various specialty shops and warehouse spaces. Employees operate small boats in local waters and offshore fleet operating areas; environmental conditions may vary.
