Job Description
New Hope Church of Norfolk is seeking a Church Musician to serve and assist the lead music director for the worship music ministry for New Hope services including in house and out.
Job Requirements:
- Assist Choir director with coordinating the music ministries
- Work with the Pastor and staff in general planning and conveying information about the music program
- If not available for rehearsal or performance, must arrange for a replacement
- Provide music for weekly services and occasional festival services
- Must be available and attend all rehearsals as scheduled by choir director in house and out
- Sight reading is a plus
- Able to play Hammond Organ, keyboard and piano
- Play by ear preferred
- Music theory training required
Experience:
Music: 2-5 years (Preferred)
Shifts:
Sunday 10 am Service (Required)
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $300.00 to $500.00 /week
