Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Interior Designer located in Norfolk, VA. The Interior Designer will be responsible for developing design concepts, creating construction drawings, and planning spaces. Daily tasks include working on FF&E selections, coordinating with architects and contractors, and ensuring that design intentions meet clients' needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about interior design, eager to grow their career, and interested in focusing on the design of financial institutions, including banks and credit unions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior designers and project managers to develop design concepts and layouts for financial institution projects.
- Prepare detailed drawings, renderings, and material boards for client presentations.
- Assist in the selection of furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
- Conduct site visits to measure spaces, verify conditions, and oversee project installations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and innovations, especially those relevant to financial institution design.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD & Revit.
- Sketch Up, Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud experience helpful.
- Experience with space planning, product specifications and finish selections.
- Willing and able to travel.
- Self motivated and enjoys working collaboratively.
- Superb organizational skills.
- A willingness to learn.
- Ability to work on-site in Norfolk, VA
