Responsibilities
  • Conducting high quality, programmatic research.
  • Seeking external research funding.
  • Teaching undergraduate courses to support the undergraduate psychology curriculum at ODU.
  • Teaching graduate courses in the Psychology Department.
  • Mentoring Ph.D. students.
Qualifications

Minimum required education and/or licenses

  • Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or a closely related field.
  • Candidates who provide evidence that their Ph.D. will be conferred by July 25, 2026 will be considered for the position.
  • Minimum required experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities

    They must demonstrate strong potential for developing an independent, funded research program and show accomplishments in and/or potential for quality teaching and mentoring at the graduate and undergraduate level.

    Preferred Qualifications

    Preference will be given to candidates with a research program that complements and expands that of current faculty within the Department of Psychology.
