Aircraft Survival Flight Equipment Technician; CFT B012 VA
STi is a private aerospace engineering and aircraft maintenance contractor, founded in 1985, looking to fill positions for an upcoming long-term contract with the DoD. The contract is long-term and has a high level of job stability.
We are actively sourcing for an Aircraft Survival Flight Equipment Technician I to join our team at NS Norfolk. The purpose of this contract is to provide I-Level maintenance support T56-A-425/427/427A engine, T56-A-425/427/427A engine modules, support all Airframes/Structural Components and Assembly repair within (work center 51A), and inspection/repair of Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS) equipment functions.
You will be an asset in providing Intermediate level (I-Level) inspection and repair support for aircraft and flight personnel mounted parachutes, survival equipment, first aid kits, flight clothing, anti-g garments, oxygen masks/regulators, Night Vision Devices (NVD) and search and rescue equipment used to operate the C-2, C-40, E-2, F/A-18, H-53, and H-60 aircraft assigned to tenant activities home ported at NAS Oceana and NAVSTA Norfolk.

This occupation includes jobs involved in disassembling, repairing, testing, troubleshooting, examining, fitting, modifying, maintaining, installing, and determining serviceability of aircraft survival and flight equipment such as helmets, torso harness assemblies, preservers, parachutes, life rafts, chemical and biological protective devices, survival kits, oxygen masks, and anti-G-suits.
Wage: $32.07
Additional Rate: Health and welfare of $4.98 for each hour worked to be used for medical expenses/health benefits, any unused funds will roll over into a 401k at the end of the year.

- Personnel performing under this task must be a United States citizen.
Qualifications:
- CDQAR for ALSS work centers 81A, 81B and 81C
- ALSS Ordnance Quality Assurance Safety Observer (QASO)
