Job Description
Orbis is seeking a Project Manager for work on a professional services contract in support of Commander Naval Air Forces (CNAF) Aircraft Carrier Readiness Support. Orbis provides Professional Engineering Assistance, which includes Engineering Technical Expertise, Engineering Graphic Solutions, Configuration Data Management, Environmental Engineering, and Hazardous Waste/Material Handling to ensure the protection of personnel and the environment. Orbis also delivers Production Control Functions, Material and Logistical Coordination, Quality Assurance, and Computer-Related Capabilities.
These efforts aid USS Nimitz (CVN 68) and USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78) class aircraft carriers in matters related to readiness, maintenance, modernization advance planning, work package development and integration, and work package execution.
A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Naval shipboard engineering and maintenance, including:
Two (2) years of recent supervisory experience (within the past five years) in planning, managing, or supporting U.S. Navy ship availabilities.
Additionally, three (3) years of recent supervisory experience within the past five years is required, with at least one (1) year equivalent to civil service GS-13 or U.S. Navy LCDR level, involving direct control or responsibility over subordinate groups working in engineering disciplines.
Degree RequirementsA Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Marine Mechanical Engineering, Marine Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or Naval Architecture) from an accredited four-year college or university is required.
