Engineering Services Agent - Machinery Controls; Levels
Responsibilities
Noblis MSD is seeking Engineering Services Agents in Philadelphia, PA, San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA.
Noblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions’ to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. We are looking to hire Engineering Services Agents to provide engineering, technical, logistics, and obsolescence support to U.S. Navy ships and vessels related to the following systems and equipment:
Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) Combat Support Systems for U.S. Navy Surface Ships – both in-service and new construction. and equipment support.
This requisition covers multiple positions, including:
Engineering Services Agent, Entry Level
Engineering Services Agent, Mid Level
Engineering Services Agent, Senior Level
Troubleshoot control systems with the use of system documentation and electrical schematics
Provide shipboard test support for all variants of fielded systems
Provide shipboard software and hardware installation support of all variants of fielded systems
Provide documented status updates on a regular basis
Act as a liaison between shipboard test team and technical leads back in Philadelphia
· Maintain personal source of information between jobs and taskingAid in test procedure development, edits, and implementation
Review technical documentation related to all variants of fielded systems and future fielded systems
Configure, monitor, and test DDG
51 MCS Software.
Entry Level
Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree OR High School diploma and 6+ years of military/professional experience.
Two (2) or more years of professional experience as an Engineering Technician.
Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship
Salary Range: $65,200 - $101,950
Mid Level
Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree OR High School diploma and 9+ years of military/professional experience.
Four (4) or more years of professional experience as an Engineering Technician.
Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship
Salary Range: $78,900 - $123,300
Senior Level
Bachelor's degree OR Associate's degree OR High School diploma and 11+ years of military/professional experience.
Seven (7) or more years of professional experience as an Engineering Technician.
Active DoD Secret clearance and US citizenship
Salary Range: $95,500 - $149,200
Regular expected travel frequency away from your permanent location may be up to 30-50%
Off hour and weekend work will be expected to meet deliverables and ship test schedule
Must have a valid US passport or ability to obtain one upon position acceptance
The work is typically performed onboard US Navy Ships (pier side and at sea), which requires proper safety precautions and ability to go up and down shipboard stairways (ladders); work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment up to 50 LBS per person.
Experience tracing signals and troubleshooting, diagnosing and isolating cause for electrical failures and anomalies
Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams
Proficiency in the use of test tools associated with test and troubleshooting electrical systems
Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools associated with control system troubleshooting (i.e. multimeter, oscilloscope, signal generator, etc)
Basic knowledge of network troubleshooting tools
Basic technical writing ability
Ability to self-motivate and complete tasks efficiently
Ability to communicate effectively within an integrated team environment
Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures associated with industrial control systems
Experience with Versa Module Eurocard (VME) systems
Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems
Advanced computer skills to include use of Hyper Terminal, Putty, or an equivalent serial interface
Ability to use Wireshark for network data capture, analysis, and troubleshooting
