Job DescriptionTo serve as the Payroll Compliance Auditor reviewing and validating actions keyed by Payroll Processing and Payroll Student Employment.
QualificationsKnowledge, skills and abilities:
- An exceptional understanding of payroll regulations and payroll tax compliance laws, wage-hour regulations, state and federal regulations concerning payroll.
- Working knowledge of payroll policies, procedures, and processing methods.
- Working knowledge of payroll tax regulations.
- Some knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent analytical research skills and must be attentive to details.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficient skill with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work with automated payroll systems.
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex mathematical computations.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with people.

Education or training:
None
Considerable experience working in payroll setting. Some experience establishing and implementing policies and procedures.
Additional Considerations- Banner Training, CPP Certification, Knowledge in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Overtime may be required during peak periods.
This position is designated as sensitive. A fingerprint-based criminal history check will be required of the final candidate.
Annual Salary/Hourly RateSalary is commensurate with education and experience and begins at $ - 50,000.00
