We seek a Financial Analyst (Level II) who will thrive in a challenging, rewarding, process‑oriented environment. This person will be expected to deliver expert knowledge and actionable recommendations to support measurable progress toward the Navy’s Fiscal Year 26 goal to downgrade the OM&S Ordnance Material Weakness
. You will provide broad skills and experience across the following domains:
Federal Audit
, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP),
DoD Financial Management Regulation
, Navy End‑to‑end inventory business processes and systems
, and internal controls, finance transformation, and change management
.

Location- Hybrid in Norfolk, VA
- Support for Fleet implementation
, execution, and sustainment of the OM&S Ordnance MRC program and audit campaign plan. - Provide sample selection to reporting activities and support validation efforts.
- Provide training and operational control support, assist with inputting results into the Measure of Performance (MOP) dashboard, conduct root cause/trend analysis over testing exceptions.
- Maintain communication with Fleet and NMC headquarters to monitor progress and consistency across locations.
- Provide support for 8 ashore units (Yorktown, SUBTORPFAC Yorktown, Earle, Charleston, New London CT, Rota, Souda Bay, and Aegis) and 3 TYCOMs (CSL, MSC, CNSL).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security clearance at the minimum level of Secret (interim required to start).
- Minimum years of experience (Level II):
Three (3) years of progressive, relevant DoD experience. - Minimum education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business management‑related field from an accredited institution. - Minimum certification:
One of the following professional certifications:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM).
- An understanding of DoD Acquisition Process and equipment/ammunition life cycle support functions.
- Audit background preferred.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills to troubleshoot systems problems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
