The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) Space Based Sensing and Targeting (SBST) Portfolio Acquisition Executive (PAE) at Chantilly, Virginia is searching for an Acquisition Financial Management Specialist (NH-0501-03, GS-12/13 equivalent).
Description:
We are seeking a strategic, customer-focused financial management professional to drive accounting integrity, audit readiness, and resource stewardship across complex acquisition programs.
In this role, you will analyze financial systems and data, resolve challenging accounting and compliance issues, and improve internal controls and business processes to deliver timely, accurate reporting and advice to leadership.
By translating complex financial requirements into practical solutions and collaborating across organizations, you will manage competing priorities and drive continuous improvement throughout the planning, budgeting, execution, and closeout lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is a skilled, customer-focused financial management and accounting professional who independently applies accounting principles, internal controls, and audit readiness standards to complex acquisition program environments.
Operating with sound judgment and analytical rigor, you will evaluate financial systems, data, and processes to ensure compliance, resolve complex accounting challenges, and maintain the integrity of financial resources throughout the execution and closeout lifecycle.
By leveraging data-informed solutions and building strong collaborative relationships across organizations, you will deliver clear financial analyses and actionable advice to senior leaders, effectively balancing competing priorities to strengthen accountability and drive mission success.

Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of processes and procedures related to program management and strategic planning activities needed to execute projects and/or studies within established financial and time constraints.
