Traveler RN - Cardiac procedural/Surgical Intermediate Care
Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac procedural/Surgical Unit.
Only $70/hr.
Temporary Full Time Day Shift.
Department OverviewThis 24-bed cardiac surgical/procedural IMCU provides care to pre and post cardiac surgery patients to include bypass surgery, cardiac valve repairs/replacements, thoracic surgery/lung diagnostics, and other cardiac-based procedures and treatments such as ablations, left atrial appendages, ICDs, and permanent pacemakers. The unit also provides a high level of care to patients with cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, and chest pain.
Responsibilities- Dedicated to high quality care, patient outcomes, safety, and teamwork is a standard of the staff.
- Handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level, up to 5 patients depending on staffing.
Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the Nursing Field required.
Certification/Licensure- Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- ACLS.
Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience.
