Sentara is hiring a PRN Radiation Therapist/Radiation Oncology Tech to support the Sentara in Hampton Roads locations including:
- Brock Cancer Center
- Sentara Princess Anne Hospital
- Sentara Albemarle Medical Center
- Sentara Norfolk General Hospital
- Sentara Careplex Hospital
- Sentara Obici Hospital
Shift: PRN/Flexi
Job Description- Deliver external beam radiotherapy to include (3D, IMRT, SRS/SBRT)
- Deliver brachytherapy treatment
- Perform patient simulations; preparing equipment, such as immobilization, treatment, and protection devices
- Reviewing patient records for accuracy
- Act as liaison with physician and supportive care personnel
- Maintaining patient records, reports, and files
All new graduates will remain Radiation Therapist I for the first 2 years of employment and are required to pass boards within 6 months of hire.
Completion of an approved certification program prior to 2016 in lieu of Associates degree will also be considered.
Education- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology REQUIRED
- Required to pass boards within 6-months of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire
- No experience required
