We are seeking a dedicated and detail‑oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team. This role plays a vital part in patient intake, registration, and overall front‑end support. As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, you will ensure a smooth experience by accurately handling registration, insurance verification, billing inquiries, and supporting the medical team administratively.
Job Description- Greet, direct, and assist patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Perform full‑cycle patient registration and pre‑registration functions.
- Verify insurance coverage and confirm active policies.
- Collect co‑payments and facilitate billing inquiry responses.
- Accurately document and retrieve patient data using computerized health systems.
- Enter authorization information and ensure that all information is up to date and correctly coded.
- Serve as a liaison between patients and medical support services.
- Support secretarial and clerical functions for the clinical team.
- Travel to nearby hospital work locations as needed.
- Minimum 6 months of customer service experience required (healthcare setting preferred).
- 2-3 years of related work experience highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of third‑party payers, ICD‑9/CPT coding, and medical terminology preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and patient registration systems a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, urgent care environment.
- Must be dependable and able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and varying shifts between 9:30 AM and 8:00 PM.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Fast‑paced, patient‑facing environment requiring multitasking and strong attention to detail.
- Some local travel to other hospital locations may be required.
- Must be comfortable working evenings and weekends, as part of a 7‑day rotating schedule.
