Mobile Sonographer General (Days)
Virginia Beach, VA Day Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, with limited weekend coverage
Join a mobile diagnostic imaging team that brings ultrasound services directly to patients where they live and receive care. As a Mobile Sonographer, you ll perform a variety of ultrasound studies in nursing homes, home care facilities, correctional centers, and other patient sites delivering compassionate, high-quality imaging services on the go.
What You ll Do:
Perform and process general and vascular ultrasound exams using portable sonographic equipment
Transmit digital studies for Radiologist review and interpretation
Travel independently to patient locations throughout the assigned region (company vehicle provided)
Verify patient identity and orders, ensuring clinical accuracy and compliance
Maintain imaging equipment and documentation per protocol
Communicate effectively with dispatch, facility staff, and management
Uphold the highest standards of patient care, professionalism, and medical ethics
What You ll Need:
Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound program
Current registration with ARDMS or CCI (RCIS)
Valid driver s license and ability to travel between sites
COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
Excellent communication, organization, and independent decision-making skills
