OverviewSentara Leigh Hospital is currently hiring a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full‑time 14‑week travel assignment.

Responsibilities and ScopeThe Registered Respiratory Therapist builds upon overall pulmonary management by identifying and implementing physician‑directed respiratory care interventions for individual or groups of patients. They cooperate with nursing and other healthcare team members for professional respiratory practice for patients ranging from neonates to adults in all clinical and ambulatory settings. Responsibilities include age‑specific assessment, treatment, and oversight of Protected Health Information (PHI).
Education- Associate’s Degree – Respiratory Therapy
- Bachelor’s Degree – Respiratory Therapy
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- State license – Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
- 1 year of clinical respiratory care experience (preferred)
State license, active NBRC RRT and BLS required at time of hire. New graduates must obtain NBRC RRT within 6 months.
