Banquet Server - Hilton Norfolk Main
Overview
The Banquet Server is responsible for food and drink service at banquet events. The Banquet Server will also assist with the setup, breakdown, and cleanup of all banquet functions in accordance with the BEO and standards, specifications, and inventories. The Banquet Server maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe event area at all times to ensure a quality experience is delivered to guests.
The successful Banquet Server will ensure quality and efficient guest service, maintain cleanliness and organization standards, and have exemplary attendance.

Specific responsibilities for this role and department include:
- Setting up banquet functions and spaces.
- Setting tables according to standards.
- Serving food and beverages promptly and efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintaining neatness and cleanliness of the function room and station per policies.
- Properly clearing in-room and aisle trays, and breaking down buffet or other food service tables and equipment.
- Assisting with setting up and breaking down buffet and other food service tables and equipment.
- Providing guest services professionally, exceeding guest expectations.
- Familiarity with various setup configurations for each function room.
- Completing assigned sidework and checklists.
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
Experience:
Previous high-volume restaurant or banquet service preferred
Skills:
Able to work an entire shift standing and walking
