Housekeeper, Hospitality ​/ Hotel ​/ Catering

Location: Norfolk, VA 23510
Pay Rate: $14.21/hour
Duration: 12 Months
Schedule: All days of the week, starting at 9:00 AM; most housekeepers finish by approximately 5:00 PM.

The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms, hallways, and public areas while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for hotel guests.

• Complete pre-cleaning duties, including stocking room supplies and tools on the assigned work cart.
• Attend the daily morning stand-up meeting.
• Fold and/or assist with dirty linen in the housekeeping laundry room.
• Thoroughly clean and restock assigned guest rooms according to hotel standards.
• Clean and maintain hallways, public areas, guest laundry areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Assist with deep-cleaning guest rooms and additional cleaning projects as directed by the supervisor.
• Keep all front-of-house and back-of-house areas clean, organized, and well-maintained.
• Follow all hotel cleanliness, safety, and quality standards.

• Previous housekeeping or hotel cleaning experience is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
