Cyber Support Analyst DoD Secret Clearance Norfolk, VA

JOB DESCRIPTION

Watershed Security is a Veteran Owned Small Business with over 20 years of cybersecurity and government contracting experience. Watershed is looking for a Cyber Support Analyst to provide service support in the areas of cybersecurity operations, risk management and compliance. The role will support vulnerability management, cybersecurity site visits to assist Mariners with patching and scanning, mission-based risk assessments, and all elements of compliance inspections.

The individual will need an in-depth knowledge of Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity directives and procedures.

• Experience in information technology security.
• Must comply with certification requirements identified in DoD 8570.01M for IAT Level II or equivalent.
• Understanding of Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) and researching IAVA/B/T occurrences within Windows and Linux operating systems and components.
• Ability to perform patch testing of monthly patch release, apply approved patches to network environments, and perform remediation patching.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience reviewing and providing feedback on DoD cybersecurity documents, orders, and instructions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with cybersecurity tools (ACAS, HBSS, VRAM, eMASS, STIG Viewer).

• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or equivalent.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Information technology security experience and at least 2 years in the IT industry.
• Understanding of IAVAs.
• Knowledge of vulnerabilities and risks for Windows/Linux OS and components.
• Experience with vulnerability incident reporting.
• Ability to review and provide feedback on DoD cybersecurity documents, orders, and instructions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with ACAS, HBSS, VRAM, eMASS, STIG Viewer.
• Travel OCONUS and CONUS up to 50%.
• Have or obtain a U.S. passport within 3 months of hire.

Final salary is influenced by factors such as location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $40,000 - $50,000 USD.
