This role will be supporting the U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF) Headquarters (HQ) at USFF Norfolk, Virginia at a Government facility/site. As a member of their USFF Communications and Information Systems Division (N6) Support Team, you will significantly contribute to Navy Fleet Readiness and Homeland Security. The team is involved in information technology (IT) support tasks including but are not limited to Program Management support, Network Engineering support, Maritime Operations Center/Tactical Systems support, Video Teleconferencing and Audio/Visual support, Portal Management and Application Development support, Staff IT Business Process/IT Services support, Satellite Communications Planning support, Information Assurance (IA)/Certification and Accreditation support, Database Administration support, Communications Security/EKMS support, and general IT support, as well as maintenance, updating and enhancement of developed application/software.
Job Responsibilities- Provide IT engineering and technical services and support for a broad assortment of system engineering and support functions.
- Provide direct support services for overall and complete operation and maintenance of the Headquarters SECRET, NATO, Coalition and UNCLASSIFIED networks and associated hardware and software.
- Systems Management of all USFF owned/managed Top Secret, Secret, Coalition and Unclassified networks.
- Configure and deploy new and/or additional clients on the locally managed networks.
- Support for the Virtual Infrastructure Team with Storage support of NETAPP hardware/software for Cisco Flexpod configuration.
- Application server administration and configuration including but not limited to Single Sign On, Identity Management, Public Key Infrastructure Management, Cryptographic Log On, Server Replication, Backups and Load Balancing.
- On-site operational and functional support for application end users and support personnel, for but not limited to application deployment, active directory management, data recovery services, client hardware and software support.
