A leading international defense and technology consultancy is seeking a Data Science & AI Data Scientist to join its advanced analytics team in Norfolk, VA
. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI engineering, machine learning, and distributed data systems, with the ability to design and deploy scalable data-driven solutions for global organizations. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to strategic projects that leverage large language models (LLMs) and advanced analytics to support innovation at an international scale.

• 🤖 Develop and implement scalable data science and AI solutions, including LLM-based applications.
• ⚙️ Design and maintain data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-based architectures to support AI and ML workflows.
• 📊 Preprocess, clean, and transform structured and unstructured datasets for model training and inference.
• 🧠 Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and system architects to operationalize AI/ML systems.
• ☁️ Deploy containerized microservices and distributed data systems on platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• 🔍 Conduct research to enhance data accessibility, infrastructure performance, and AI integration.
• 💬 Provide technical guidance and mentorship to cross-functional teams on data science and AI best practices.
• 🧩 Support innovation and transformation initiatives within a complex, multinational environment.

• 🎓 Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Data Science, Computer Science, AI Engineering, or related field.
• 💼 4+ years of hands‑on experience as a Data Scientist, ML Engineer, or Data Engineer.
• 🐍 Strong programming skills in Python

  , or Scala with experience in Tensor Flow

• 💬 Strong communication, problem‑solving, and collaboration skills in multidisciplinary teams.
• 🔒 Eligible for or holding NATO or National Secret security clearance
