Provide warfighters with reliable strike planning and execution tools for Theater Missile Programs while modernizing and expanding beyond Tomahawk missiles. Our work includes developing and maintaining proprietary software, offering full lifecycle support from design to deployment, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
AboutThe Role
Peraton is searching for a Field Service Engineer to support our customer site at the Cruise Missile Support Activity Atlantic (CMSA LANT) in Norfolk, VA. You will be working directly with the customer onsite and will be expected to be team‑oriented and able to work in a DoD environment.
What you'll do- Provide TMPC system administrator support
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system/software issues
- Maintain systems with software and security updates
- Support system upgrades/installations
- Help desk support for TMPC products
- Investigate and report software discrepancies
- Monitor system performance and product assurance
- Education:
5 years with BS degree, 3 years with MS, 0 years with a PhD, or at least 9 years of related work experience in lieu of degree - Clearance: active TS/SCI required
- Clearance:
Security + required or obtain within 3 months of starting - Technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft products, including:
Windows 11, Server 2019/2022, Red Hat 7.x/8.x/9.x Operating Systems, SQL, Power Shell, Office, Microsoft SQL Server or SQL Server Management Studio, Active Directory, Red Hat Virtualization - Strong Windows background – Windows/Red Hat
- General knowledge of networking
- Possess software and/or systems engineering skills
- Operational knowledge of TMPC
- Prior U.S. Navy experience with Tomahawk background
Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000. Salary is determined by various factors, including scope and responsibilities, experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location.
