Description
Summary:
SURTASS provides an on-demand, mobile, and active/passive maritime surveillance capability in support of Joint and Naval Task Force commanders via towed acoustic sensor systems. The ships and installed SURTASS mission equipment are designed for extended duration and independent operations in remote geographic areas. Thus, self-sufficiency in operations and maintenance is an important mission objective. It is intended that operations and maintenance be performed on board vessels and in depot maintenance facilities with the objective of maximizing operational readiness.
This position is for a future opportunity that is expected to be awarded in June 2026.

Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate all shipboard requirements.
- Manage the performance of their crew of O&M Technician Crew members.
- Submit required reports in accordance with this SOW, the SURTASS SOP, and other directives.
- Serve as the senior contractor onboard the ship supporting IOSC and the contractor.
Education: Associate Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Technology, or be a graduate of US Navy electronics “C” school or equivalent civilian electronics technical school (Curriculum: maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of VME computers, digital computers, microprocessors or peripheral/interface equipment, networks, communications system, navigation system and/or sonar system).
- Experience:
4+ years of related experience
Desired Professional
Experience:
- Four (4) years' hands-on experience in the operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of secure networks and communications systems, navigations systems, and sonar systems.
- Seven (7) years' professional experience in operations management. Experience with SURTASS mission systems is highly desired.
- Five (5) years' experience managing personnel.
Required
Certifications:
DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Sec+ CE, Other)
Clearance: Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI)

Compensation and Benefits: The likely salary range for this position is $93,500 - $126,500. This range is not a guarantee and may vary based on experience, location, and contractual requirements. Benefits include comprehensive medical options, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, disability and life insurance options, and other Total Rewards offerings.

Scheduled weekly hours are 40;
